Despite being part of the STEM program, Jee wanted to explore more on the creative aspects of storytelling. Jee's perseverance and passion for acting has made her notable for her great involvement in film productions.

 

During Jee's free time, she enjoys spending time with her dogs and has the desire to save the dogs in the world. In addition to this, Jee likes to exercise to stay fit and watch movies.

Antonia Miran is an actress and journalist based in the Bay Area. She has a passion for storytelling as a means of better understanding our world and connecting with others through performance. Antonia seeks out projects that employ nuance, ambiguity and dark comedy to explore the human experience.

 

Outside of writing and acting, Antonia enjoys playing guitar, baking, and exploring the Bay Area's bountiful outdoors. Her adventuresome spirit has cultivated an open and approachable personality that has helped her develop strong and lasting relationships with others in the film industry.

Molly Brennan is a Castro Valley High School student who has an interest in acting.

 

Although most of her experience lies within theatre acting, she hopes to integrate her learning to branch out not only in film acting, but also producing and directing. Film is a unique medium of storytelling to her because she believes it is a creative way to make a new world for audiences to fall in love with. Her leadership skills and motivational drive have made her stand out from many actresses. Her maturity at a young age brings great value in working in the film industry in her future.

 

A few things Molly enjoys to do are improvisation acting, traveling, playing bocce ball, and dancing. Her activeness helps bring motivation in her life.

Colby Cao is a film student from De Anza College.

 

As a student filmmaker, Colby has always been fond of storytelling in many art forms such as dancing and cinema. Being a leader in church ceremonies for seven years, Colby's attention to detail and cooperation among others has made him desirable for his work ethic in the film department. If there were errors along the way, Colby is quick to adapt to changes on the spot and his great communicative skills has led him to project ideas well with his crew.

 

For leisure, Colby enjoys singing, dancing, and watching movies. He sees storytelling in every artistic opportunity because whether words are provided or not, the medium incorporates the vision of the artist and how they see the world.

Kevin Shum is a film student from De Anza College.

 

Before joining the film department in De Anza College, Kevin has already established his interest in storytelling through visuals when working with photography as well as shooting and editing videos in high school. The film shoots that Kevin participated in shows his great talent in cinematography skills and he is well-respected by his peers for his quality work. The stills and visuals that Kevin produces through the eyes of the camera has made every shot worthy of its importance in visual storytelling. Kevin wishes to incorporate his film studies to create stories from those who lack representation.

 

A few hobbies of Kevin's include photography, exercising, and watching movies.

Kandi Wu is a De Anza College film student who has interests in the editing and storyboarding aspects of film. She has a talented outlook in overseeing how to implement storytelling with the power of visuals and framing in a film.

 

Her creativeness and responsibility has led her to being involved with multiple student film projects in De Anza College. Her knowledge of pre-production along with her imaginative ability has contributed her to creating work of exquisite quality. Her patience and willingness to assist others drive her strengths in the film department and these qualities continue to portray her character in her future pursuit of her film passion.

 

A few hobbies of Kandi's include drawing, playing different sports, and reading. Her interest in books helped cultivate her understanding and inspiration for her film works.

Kylie Jeong is a film student from De Anza College who is involved in multiple student film projects.

 

Before entering De Anza College, Kylie has interest in being a part of the filmmaking process after being inspired by watching her favorite movies. Rather than being in front of the camera, her excitement is to be a part of the film production behind the camera. She wants to make stories that reflect on society's issues and provide a voice for those who are unable to speak up for themselves.

 

During Kylie's free time, she enjoys dancing, playing soccer, and traveling. These few activities help cultivate her passion in storytelling through different perspectives and exploring art forms in which she can use to implement in her film work.

David Mostoufi is a film student from De Anza College.

 

David joined the film department because he admires creative storytelling and the interesting characters and worlds he can explore on the screen. A few things David does in his free time are spending time with friends, writing, watching movies, and playing video games.

 

His intuitiveness and cooperation with others has made him a well-received partner in working with film projects. He connects with others well due to his patience and open-mindedness.

Brad Meyer

Brad Meyer is a retired Silicon Valley professional who specialized in large-scale and cloud data storage systems and infrastructure. He is a data storage expert, from small to large, and has deep experience in computing and networking platforms and technology.  He is now a full-time caregiver and a part-time student at De Anza and Foothill Junior Colleges and studies Film and Television production, with a current emphasis on sound production and post-production.

 

His dedication, organization, focus, and technical abilities help drive the great quality of work for every production he commits to, and he brings a level of maturity and professionalism not found in your typical college student.

 

A few things Brad enjoys include music, computers, sports, and traveling  His artistic skills and expertise in sound, lighting, and video creation has led him to being involved in many student projects.

Anh Le

Producer

 

Anh Le is a film student from De Anza College.

 

Before getting involved in film, Anh committed to four years in Army JROTC, a program offered in some high schools that cultivate students into better leaders and citizens through military values. During Anh’s years of being an event coordinator and team commander, her skills of organization and discipline has helped establish her leadership and determination in service learning projects. Anh has a strong desire to work in the film industry because she plans to implement her studies to create films that tackle social issues.

 

Anh enjoys singing, writing stories, learning languages, and travelling. Anh likes to explore new cultures and support the children in need. After travelling in Vietnam, she intends to get funds to create a nonprofit organization to support orphans in Vietnam and eventually, Southeast Asia.


Anh is available for film projects as a director, director of photography, producer, and screenwriter; however, she is also capable of taking on other roles in the media, film, music, or marketing field. Through watching movies, Riley has interest in being a part of the film industry. Riley's experience in writing, directing, and editing films has brought forth his love for film because of the artistic freedom to integrate his vision onto the screen. Riley has been making films since 3rd grade and enjoys collaborating with others to implement their ideas onto the screen.

Gabriel Masters is a film student from De Anza College who will be graduating in Spring 2019.

 

Before attending De Anza College, Gabriel had experience in being the director, cinematographer, and grip/gaffer in a college in Arizona. Gabriel has a strong passion for film, especially lighting and editing because these attributes allow him to explore his creative talents to make the story unique and extraordinary. Gabriel's expertise in lighting and his well-organized work ethic has made him very desirable to work with in film projects.

 

Gabriel's ability to create animated/static logos and draw things contribute to his artistic mindset, and those are the few things that Gabriel does in his leisure time.

Robert De Leon is a De Anza College film student who works under a security firm for a Fortune 500 Corporation.

 

Being a part of the film industry has been a long-pursuing dream of Robert's because film has been a unique storytelling medium for him to use as a sense of escape. Film to him is a momentary picture in which people can escape from reality for just a bit and explore the lives of character's going through adventures through visual storytelling. His studies in screenwriting and theatre acting in high school along with taking a directing class in college has contributed to his understanding of creating powerful stories in his film work. His sense of humor and attentiveness have made him notable in the De Anza Film Department and many students have interest in including Robert in their film projects.

 

Aside from filmmaking, Robert enjoys playing the guitar and watching comedy shows.

Brenna White is a film student from De Anza College who works temporarily as a technical assistant in the film department.

 

Prior to joining the film department, Brenna admired storytelling in film. The film classes that Brenna has taken (directing, producing, video production, etc.) has helped her develop and understanding of how powerful film is used to shape stories and impact people's lives. With her creative problem-solving skills inherited from engineering and strong leadership skills, her maturity and attention to detail has made her both an artist and an applicant worthy of many film productions. Her fast-paced worth ethic helps push the film projects to their fullest potential.

 

The few things that Brenna enjoys doing is reading, hiking, and playing guitar. Brenna's willingness to explore and learn new things have made her capable of achieving many things in school, and continues her path to success in life.

Gabrielle Djemat is a film student currently studying at De Anza College.

 

Although raised in Indonesia, Gabrielle hopes to expand the film industry here in the Bay Area. Her love for music and film contributed to her passion for making music videos and her goal in the future is to establish her own creative agency to support Bay Area artists. Gabrielle's unique insights on color grading and editing has made her stand out in the artistic appeal of media production.

 

One of the few things that Gabrielle enjoys doing is listening to music, travel, and experiment on editing. Gabrielle's eagerness to learn new things help set the motivation in the team and encourage others to perform to their utmost ability.
